Who is Jay?
A small town girl from Punta Gorda, FL, Jay quickly made herself known in the Northeast region of Georgia. Without losing her southern charm, Jay has always drawn inspiration from things surrounding her, also pulling inspiration from her late mother, “Velma P’. At the tender age of eleven, she began her hair journey and after spending countless of hours creating hairstyles for family and friends, she developed the idea of opening a small business offering online products and in person hair services. Through her versatile experience over the years, Jay adopted an impressive skill set of being able to incorporate various techniques to craft the most vivacious hairstyles that play to each client unique characteristics. Her clients have recognized her artistry by expressing their experience while being “Slayed by Jay”. She works collaboratively with clients to find a look that will enhance their natural looks and surely elevate their confidence. She is committed to ensuring that every client leave feeling more beautiful than when they walked in.
Whether you're looking for something low maintenance like a fresh loc retwist or a braided updo for a special night out, these styles will work for pretty much any occasion. I found Jay from Facebook marketplace, I read a lot of her reviews, and they were all explaining how great of hair stylist she was so I decided to give her a try. Firstly, she was on time! Which is a huge factor for me when dealing with stylists this day and age. I sat down and before she started working she talked to me about what I wanted, the different types of starter locs, the products she would be using on my scalp/hair, and much more. Although I was pressed for time, I didn’t mind the inquiring because she actually cared about my hair experience and wanted to make sure I knew what I was paying for. ..she listened to my request and executed it well (her parting is nice and neat). My first time stepping out and trying someone new because my regular loctician was no longer and option. Hands down best new experience, I’m so happy with my experience. I have officially found a new loctician! Thank you Jay , you were amazing! All services provided to me were the most professional experience from her setting up my appointment to answering her phone and making me aware of every step as she brought my loc’s back to life! I tried Nx2None Clarifying Shampoo and Conditioner on my one year old son hair tonight and it’s the best decision I’ve made all day. The products took very well to his hair leaving no post breakage or shedding. Once the wash was complete, I used the nourishing hair oil which smells very great and very light on the scalp. I would definitely recommend these products for your everyday wash and hair care routine.
